BUZZ-Zhaojin Mining falls to 5-week low on fatal gold mine accident report

** Shares of gold miner Zhaojin Mining Industry 1818.HK fall as much as 8.7% to HK$31.6, their lowest level since January 5

** Stock on track for biggest one-day pct drop since January 30; top pct loser in Hang Seng Composite Index tracking material stocks .HSCIM, which is up 0.5%

** Seven people were killed in a gold mine accident in China's eastern Shandong province, and authorities are investigating, state-run CCTV reported

** The accident occurred on Saturday when a cage fell down a mine shaft, CCTV reported on Monday

** The mine is owned by Zhaojin Mining, according to Qichacha company registry

** A person who answered Zhaojin's main phone line told Reuters that the matter was under investigation and declined to answer further questions

** YTD, stock up 4.7%, benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI up 5.8%
