Denox Environmental & Technology (HKG:1452) said it secured a license to use its associate Hainan Botuo's DeCo catalyst formula, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Wednesday.
Shares of the air pollution control related products maker fell nearly 10% in morning trade Thursday.
A DeCo catalyst is a part used in exhaust-cleaning equipment to help get rid of carbon monoxide.
The firm will pay 8.1 million yuan for the right to produce DeCo catalysts using Hainan Botuo's formula.
The license will last until Dec. 31, 2028, the firm said.
Hainan Botuo will also provide technical support to Denox Environmental during this period and will be due up to 70 million yuan, 60 million yuan, and 50 million yuan in service and performance fee for 2026, 2027, and 2028, respectively.
