ON Semiconductor Stumbles Premarket After Earnings -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Feb 10

1052 GMT - Shares in ON Semiconductor fall 4.6% premarket after the company announced declining revenue for the fourth quarter in an after-hours release. An improvement in the Arizona company's sales to automakers was encouraging, though the scope for recovery in the analog semiconductor sector remains uncertain, Jefferies' Blayne Curtis writes. Revenue outside of industrial clients fell 14% on quarter, underperforming consensus expectations significantly, though an increase in defense contracts helped to counter the industrial slowdown. The company said it expects 2026 revenue to land below consensus forecasts, driven by a decline in industrial earnings and the company wrapping up contracts with some non-core clients, Curtis says.
