0818 GMT - Barratt Redrow's fall in adjusted earnings per share might concern investors, Quilter Cheviot analyst Oli Creasey says in a note. Adjusted EPS declined 20% in its first half. This is partly an accounting issue and reflects an increase in share count, Creasey says. Despite this, it means a 9% drop in the interim dividend to 5 pence, he adds. "Given Barratt Redrow's status as one of the highest distributing house builders in the U.K., this may come as a disappointment to shareholders, although it may also be seen as bringing the company more into line with peers," he says. Shares are down 7.7% at 359 pence and are down 18% over the past 12 months. (anthony.orunagoriainoff@dowjones.com)
