Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS) said gold intersections returned from the first two diamond drill holes of the planned 30-hole program, at the Golden Plateau deposit, part of the Cracow tenement package in Queensland, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered intercepts of five meters at 12.7 grade of gold from 45.6 meters, as well as 19.3 meters at 0.9 g/t grade of gold from 188 meters.
Two surface drill rigs are currently on site, undertaking a 6,400-meter diamond drill program.
Its shares rose 5% in early trading on Monday.
