** Shares of Argo Investments ARG.AX advance as much as 1.1% to A$9.120, their biggest intraday pct gain since January 13

** The investment firm posts half-year profit of A$130.8 million ($91.87 million), up from A$121.2 million a year earlier

** Co declares a fully franked interim dividend of 18.5 Australian cents per share vs 17 cents last year

** Stock down 0.1%, YTD
