路透华盛顿2月10日 - 美国运输部周二表示，拟将联邦资助的电动汽车充电站的美国制造成分比例从55%提高至最高100%，并要求这些设备在美国国内生产，这可能对相关资金的使用构成重大障碍。
拜登政府2023年同意放宽部分"购买美国产品(Buy America)"要求，以推进这项50亿美元的政府资助项目，建设更多电动汽车充电站。
该提案（最早由路透报道）将在最终确定后立即生效。运输部表示，相信制造商有能力在美国工厂生产电动汽车充电设备，这将"保护美国人免受外国电动车充电站零部件的影响，这些零部件使用了存在网络安全漏洞的技术"。
环保组织塞拉俱乐部(Sierra Club)批评该提案是特朗普政府"再次恶意试图破坏该项目"，可能导致资金无法使用。"此举将阻碍电动汽车充电设施的部署，使美国进一步落后，并剥夺社区获得清洁、可负担交通方式的机会。"
上个月，美国地区法官Tana Lin裁定特朗普政府暂停用于扩建电动车充电基础设施的拨款属非法行为，使20个提起诉讼的民主党领导的州获得胜利。(完)
