Morgan Stanley (MS) rehired Michael Grimes following his work at the US Commerce Department, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing an internal memo.
Grimes will serve as chairman of investment banking, based in Menlo Park, California, the report said. He previously helped lead technology investment banking.
He had been selected by the Trump administration to help lead a planned sovereign wealth fund aimed at giving the US a stake in projects deemed critical to national security, the report said.
Morgan Stanley did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
