British American Tobacco (Malaysia)'s Profit Surges in Q4

British American Tobacco (Malaysia)'s (KLSE:BAT) profit attributable to owners jumped to 121.2 million ringgit in the fourth quarter from 49 million ringgit a year earlier.
Earnings per share rose to 0.424 ringgit from 0.171 ringgit a year ago, according to a Tuesday bourse disclosure.
Revenue soared year on year to 948 million ringgit from 653 million ringgit, the tobacco company said.
The board declared a dividend of 0.39 ringgit per share, higher than 0.15 ringgit from a year earlier.
