Copper output from Chile's Codelco rises 3.7% in December

SANTIAGO, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Copper production from Chilean state-run miner Codelco COBRE.UL rose 3.7% year-on-year in December to 181,400 metric tons, data from copper commission Cochilco showed on Tuesday.

Production at BHP's BHP.AX Escondida mine, the world's largest copper mine, fell 16.5% to 111,500 tons. At Collahuasi, another major copper mine jointly run by Glencore GLEN.L and Anglo American AAL.L, output fell 12.1% to 36,200 tons.
