Zhaojin Mining Industry (HKG:1818) said it has activated an emergency plan after a cage drop accident in a blind shaft at the Shangzhuang mining area of Canzhuang Gold Mine, according to a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The company also offered condolences for the deaths of seven individuals caused by the accident.
Handling and follow-up procedures are currently taking place and the miner said it will make further announcements as and when needed.
