CNA Financial's board has raised the insurer's quarterly dividend by 4.3%, to 48 cents from 46 cents, and declared a special dividend of $2.
The new payout is equal to $1.92 a year and, coupled with the special dividend, brings CNA's annual yield to about 7.9% based on Friday's closing price of $49.83.
The Chicago company on Monday said the increased quarterly dividend and the special dividend are both payable March 12 to shareholders of record Feb. 23.
