The U.S. economy could grow by at least 15% with Kevin Warsh in charge at the Federal Reserve, President Trump said.
"He's a really high-quality person," Trump said in a Fox Business interview. "If he does the job that he's capable; we can grow at 15%, I think more than that."
The World Bank forecasts that the U.S. economy will grow by 2.2% this year, slowing to 1.9% in 2027.
Trump said Warsh was his second choice in 2017, when he instead nominated Jerome Powell to run the Fed. He told Fox Business that the decision was a "big mistake."
