Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion (VLRS), or Volaris, said Monday its passenger demand, measured as revenue passenger miles, rose 2.1% to about 2.72 billion in January from about 2.67 billion a year earlier.
Capacity for the month, measured as available seat miles, increased 4.3% to about 3.21 billion from about 3.08 billion last year, the low-cost airline said.
Volaris said its consolidated load factor for January declined to 84.8% from 86.6% a year earlier.
The company said it carried about 2.7 million passengers during the month, up 4.7% from about 2.6 million a year earlier.
