Major digital assets were mixed on Monday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) falling below the $71,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell almost 0.3% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq rose 0.8% in late trading, the S&P 500 added 0.5%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.1%.
Bitcoin fell 0.2% to $70,762, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume surged 38.7% to $51.62 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, rose 0.9% to $2,126.
XRP (XRP-USD) gained 1.1%, BNB (BNB-USD) fell 0.6%, and Solana (SOL-USD) added 0.7%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) eased 0.5%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) was up 0.2%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.196% at 3 p.m. ET Monday, down from 4.204% Friday, while the five-year yield fell to 3.739% from 3.753%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 0.5% in the past 24 hours to $2.4 trillion with trading volume rising 0.1% to $145.63 billion.
