ChainCatcher 消息，据 Coindesk 报道，美国纽约东区联邦地区法院于本周二，对前 SafeMoon 首席执行官 Braden John Karony 判处 8 年监禁。Braden 因在其数字资产业务中实施欺诈投资者行为，于去年被判定多项联邦罪名成立。
根据美国司法部的指控，Karony 曾参与操纵 SafeMoon 代币价格，并通过对公司进行非法流动性控制，盗取数百万美元。经过为期三周的审判，他被判定犯有共谋实施证券欺诈、电信欺诈和洗钱罪。共谋者 Thomas Smith 已于 2025 年 2 月承认共谋证券欺诈和电信欺诈罪名，目前尚未判刑。另一名涉嫌参与 SafeMoon 欺诈案的共谋者 Kyle Nagy 仍在被当局通缉中。
据悉，SafeMoon（SFM）是一个在 2021 年 3 月推出的加密货币代币，诞生于上一轮牛市的 meme 币和 DeFi 热潮期间。其代币经济学规定，每次交易将收取 10% 的税费，其中一部分（通常是 5%）会自动分红给所有持有者，另一部分加到流动性池、销毁代币来制造通缩，还有一部分用于项目发展。设计理念为 “鼓励持有、惩罚卖出”，让持有者被动赚币，希望币价能 “安全地去月球”，市值一度升至 10 亿美元，吸引了大量散户和 FOMO 玩家。随后项目合约漏洞被黑，团队被指控欺诈、操控流动性、挪用资金，在长期的持续下跌后，目前其市值仅剩 208 万美元。
