Aiko Solar Energy Gets Rights to Maxeon's BC Cell for 1.65 Billion Yuan; Shares Soar 10%

Shanghai Aiko Solar Energy (SHA:600732) obtained rights to the BC cell and module patents of Singaporean photovoltaic panel maker Maxeon Solar for 1.65 billion yuan, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Saturday.
The company's shares soared 10% during Monday morning trade.
The Chinese solar products manufacturer will be able to manufacture, use and sell the products, including all patents outside the U.S., within five years.
