Brighthouse Financial Shareholders Approve $4.1 Billion Acquisition by Aquarian Capital Affiliate

Brighthouse Financial (BHF) said Thursday that its shareholders have approved a definitive merger agreement under which it will be acquired by an affiliate of Aquarian Capital for roughly $4.1 billion in cash.

Under the terms of the deal, Brighthouse's shareholders will receive $70 in cash per share when the deal closes, which is expected in 2026, the company said.
