全球最大铜生产商 —— 智利国家铜业公司（Codelco）旗下 El Teniente 矿矿长克劳迪奥・苏加雷特周二对路透社表示，该矿产量在未来约五年内将持续处于低位。该矿去年发生致命事故，已对生产造成冲击。
苏加雷特称，该矿今年预计生产30.1 万吨铜。
“我们希望能小幅提升产量，” 他表示，但同时警告称，产量“大概率将维持在这一水平附近，并在未来五年保持不变”。
全球最大铜企智利国家铜业公司此前曾表示，未来三年产量将受到影响。
去年，该矿发生坍塌事故，造成数名工人死亡，此后矿区的一部分一直处于关闭状态。
苏加雷特说：“我们希望，基于我们已完成的研究，能够回收（矿区）北部的矿产资源。”
