True North Copper Says Queensland Project Resources Increase; Shares Up 3%

True North Copper (ASX:TNC) said resources at its Cloncurry copper project in Queensland increased 7% in contained copper tonnes to around 109,000 tonnes and 9% in the contained gold ounces to 84,000 ounces from updates to Great Australia, Taipan, and Wallace North resources, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The Great Australia mineral resource estimate increased by around 14% in tonnes to 5.29 million tonnes at 0.9% grade of copper and 0.1 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold.

The Taipan resource estimate came in at 5.2 million tonnes at 0.6% grade of copper and 0.1 g/t grade of gold, and 0.02% grade of cobalt with the indicated resource proportion increasing to 95% from 90%.

The company's shares rose nearly 3% in recent trading on Tuesday.
