作为巨额债务发行计划的一部分，谷歌母公司Alphabet已计划发行一种极其罕见的百年期债券，这也是自20世纪90年代末以来，全球科技公司首次标售此类超长期债务。有媒体援引知情人士透露，这笔100年期债券将以英镑计价，此外还有其他四个期限的债券也将采用该货币计价。该人士补充称，此次交易是Alphabet首次发行英镑债券，最早可能于周二定价。 KBRA欧洲宏观策略师Kerr表示：“他们(谷歌)希望挖掘从结构化金融投资者到超长期投资者的每一种潜在投资者。”他指出，百年期债券的主要买家将是保险公司和养老基金，而且“承销这笔交易的人，到偿还债务时可能已经不在了。”
