韩国反垄断监管机构周四表示，已对该国三大糖生产商处以总计 4083 亿韩元（约合2.839 亿美元）的罚款，原因是他们操纵糖价。
韩国公平交易委员会（FTC）表示，CJ第一制糖、三养食品和大韩面粉公司被查出在2021年2月至2025年4月期间共计八次操纵糖价。
这些公司在上述期间通过串通行为，合计产生了 3.29 万亿韩元的销售额。
此次罚款是韩国历史上单次价格操纵案件中所开出的第二高罚单，也是针对单个公司开出的最高罚单。
韩国FTC主席Ju Biung-ghi表示：“制糖行业的准入门槛很高，炼糖企业利用这些壁垒，通过串通牟利，从而确保利润稳定增长。”
据该机构统计，截至2024年，这三家公司合计占据了约89%的市场份额。
监管机构称，这些公司就提价的时机和幅度达成一致，以便在国际糖价上涨时迅速反映原材料成本的上涨。
他们还共同向抵制提价提议的食品饮料公司施压。当全球原糖价格下跌时，这些公司同意推迟降价或降价幅度小于原材料成本的降幅。
韩国公平交易委员会指出，这并非这三家糖精炼企业首次因串谋操纵价格而被罚款，他们曾在2007年有过类似的操纵价格行为。
