** Shares of Commonwealth Bank of Australia CBA.AX jump 6.5% to A$169.00, their highest since November 11

** Stock marks its biggest intraday pct jump since late May 2020

** CBA among the top gainers in the ASX200 benchmark index .AXJO, which is up 0.4% as of 2316 GMT

** CBA reports record first-half cash earnings of A$5.45 billion ($3.85 billion), ahead of Visible Alpha consensus of A$5.19 billion and 6% higher than last year

** Announces interim dividend of A$2.35 per share, higher than last year's A$2.25 apiece

** CBA stock up 4.6% this year, including the day's move, vs a 2.3% gain in the ASX200 benchmark
