Tenet Healthcare reported higher fourth-quarter profit as revenue for both its ambulatory care and hospital segments rose.
The company posted net income available to common shareholders of $371 million, or $4.22 a share, up from $318 million, or $3.32 a share, the year prior.
Adjusted earnings were $4.70 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $4.07 a share.
Net operating revenue rose to $5.53 billion from $5.07 billion. Wall Street expected $5.47 billion.
Ambulatory care revenue rose 14%, driven by strong growth in same-facility net patient services revenue, acquisitions of facilities and increased service lines. Meanwhile, hospital revenue increased 7.3% due to favorable payer mix, patients with more severe conditions, and increased Medicaid supplemental revenue.
The company guided for 2026 net operating revenue of $21.5 billion to $22.3 billion and adjusted earnings of $16.19 to $18.47 a share. Analysts see 2026 adjusted earnings of $16.42 a share and revenue of $22.23 billion.
