1044 GMT - Barratt Redrow has seen housing market conditions remain challenging as it reports a fall in adjusted pretax profit and broadly flat operating profit, Peel Hunt analysts Clyde Lewis and Sam Cullen write. Although the analysts see limited changes to fiscal 2026 consensus forecasts for the U.K. home builder, those for fiscal 2027-28 will depend on how quickly the housing market recovers, they say. "While we do not expect a swift profit recovery across the house builders, we believe the likelihood of a new Help-to-Buy product emerging has increased, which would provide material support to the sector." Help-to-Buy is a U.K. government program that helps people buy property. Shares are down 5.3% at 368.30 pence. (anthony.orunagoriainoff@dowjones.com)
