0923 GMT - Consumer staples have been gaining steam, but Unilever's results are unlikely to reflect this new investor optimism, analysts at Morgan Stanley write in a note. Unilever's emerging markets exposure will offset the softer conditions in North America and Europe, while some of the problems it was up against in 2025 are being fixed. The company can continue to invest in key focus areas such as beauty and wellness. Unilever said it continues to outperform in Wellbeing, but that growth was tempered by a softening for the category. Shares are down 0.7%, or 37 pence, at 52.84 pounds. (aimee.look@wsj.com)
