European Stocks Mixed in Wednesday Trading; Ryanair Faces Warning From Spanish Court

European stock markets were mixed Wednesday as the Stoxx Europe gained 0.1%, Germany's DAX 40 declined 0.4%, the FTSE 100 advanced 1.2%, France's CAC 40 eased 0.2%, and the Swiss Market Index rose 0.2%.

Ryanair has been warned by a Spanish court that it may face criminal liability if it continues to disobey court orders in a legal dispute with travel subscription platform eDreams ODIGEO over alleged unfair competition, eDreams said.

Shares of the Irish airline operator fell more than 3% in Dublin.

TotalEnergies and Eni are among the energy majors to be awarded deals to explore for natural gas in Syria, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing state-owned Syrian Petroleum Company Chief Executive Youssef Qablawi in an interview.

Shares of TotalEnergies gained 3% in Paris, while Eni rose 1.8% in Milan.

Ericsson's Vonage partnered with C3.ai (AI) to launch C3.ai Field Services, a module of the C3.ai asset performance suite of products integrated with Vonage APIs.

Shares of the Swedish telecommunications company declined about 2% in Stockholm.
