Alphabet's Google Backs Apptronik's $520 Million Funding Round

Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google and Mercedes-Benz were among the companies that participated in Apptronik's $520 million extension round, the robotics company said Wednesday.
The funds will enable Apptronik to boost production of humanoid robots, expand its network of commercial and pilot deployments, as well as accelerate time to market, according to the company.
The funding will also support the company's launch of a new robot this year, according to a statement.
