1517 ET - Shopify is positioning itself to be a strong contender in the world of agentic commerce, despite investor AI concerns, according to JPMorgan in a note. The analysts point to a third straight quarter of GMV growth of over 30%, with strength across merchant size, cohorts, geographies, and channels. At the same time, take rate continues to rise as payments penetration reaches 68%. The analysts say this consistency shows "the core Shopify growth strategy is working," even before agentic commerce kicks in, leaving the company "ready to lead" as AI-driven shopping emerges.
