RenaissanceRe Raises Dividend and Buyback Plan

RenaissanceRe raised its dividend and share buyback program.

The insurance and reinsurance provider raised its quarterly dividend by 2.5% to 41 cents a share.

The new payout, equal to $1.64 per year, represents an annual yield of 0.54% based on Wednesday's closing price of $304.81.

The Pembroke, Bermuda-based company also authorized a share repurchase program of up to $750 million, including the remaining amounts under prior authorizations.

The program will expire when RenaissanceRe has repurchased the full value of shares authorized.
