Austral Resources Australia (ASX:AR1) identified technology for the recovery of the otherwise unrecoverable 45 kilo tonnes of residual copper metal remaining within the Mt Kelly heap leach stockpiles, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The technology is provided by a unit of US-based JEX Technologies, and enables access to internal heap inventory that is not recoverable through conventional surface leaching methods, the filing said.
Shares of the company fell 5% in recent Thursday trade.
