Chinese home prices across 70 large and medium-sized cities declined month on month in January, Xinhua News Agency reported Friday, citing the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the country's first-tier cities, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the prices of newly-built houses fell 0.3% month on month, while those of second-hand residences slipped 0.5%, the report said.
China's 31 second-level cities saw new home prices fall 0.3% and 0.5% for second-hand ones.
Prices of new homes in the country's 35 third-level cities declined 0.4% while those of resold houses declined 0.6%, the report said.
On a yearly basis, price falls were also seen, according to the report.
