U.S. logistics real estate investor Cabot Properties has acquired a multi-story logistics facility in Osaka prefecture, marking its first investment in Japan, according to a Friday company statement.
The four-story property, completed in 2021, is located in Minoh City within the Osaka Inland submarket and is fully leased to a single logistics tenant. Cabot said the asset offers access to major population centers in Greater Osaka and key transport routes linking western and central Japan.
The building meets Japan's CASBEE A environmental standards and includes electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with capacity for renewable energy installations.
Cabot said the acquisition aligns with its strategy of targeting modern, mid-size logistics assets in supply-constrained markets. The firm opened offices in the Asia-Pacific region in 2020 and has since expanded its presence in Australia and Japan.
