Truth be told the share price declined 36% in three years and that return, Dear Reader, falls short of what you could have got from passive investing with an index fund.      Although the past week has been more reassuring for shareholders, they're still in the red over the last three years, so let's see if the underlying business has been responsible for the decline.  Trump has pledged to \"unleash\" American oil and gas and these 15 US stocks have developments that are poised to benefit.  In his essay The Superinvestors of Graham-and-Doddsville Warren Buffett described how share prices do not always rationally reflect the value of a business.  By comparing earnings per share (EPS) and share price changes over time, we can get a feel for how investor attitudes to a company have morphed over time.   China New City Group became profitable within the last five years.    That would generally be considered a positive, so we are surprised to see the share price is down.  So it's worth looking at other metrics to try to understand the share price move.   We note that, in three years, revenue has actually grown at a 53% annual rate, so that doesn't seem to be a reason to sell shares.  This analysis is just perfunctory, but it might be worth researching China New City Group more closely, as sometimes stocks fall unfairly. This could present an opportunity.
