While revenues of CN¥113b were in line with analyst predictions, statutory earnings were less than expected, missing estimates by 6.4% to hit CN¥10.48 per share.     Following the result, the analysts have updated their earnings model, and it would be good to know whether they think there's been a strong change in the company's prospects, or if it's business as usual.  So we gathered the latest post-earnings forecasts to see what estimates suggest is in store for next year. This technology could replace computers: discover the 20 stocks are working to make quantum computing a reality.SEHK:9999 Earnings and Revenue Growth February 13th 2026 Taking into account the latest results, the most recent consensus for NetEase from 35 analysts is for revenues of CN¥120.8b in 2026. If met, it would imply an okay 7.3% increase on its revenue over the past 12 months.       Statutory earnings per share are predicted to rise 7.2% to CN¥11.42.        Before this earnings report, the analysts had been forecasting revenues of CN¥122.8b and earnings per share (EPS) of CN¥11.82 in 2026.        The analysts seem to have become a little more negative on the business after the latest results, given the minor downgrade to their earnings per share numbers for next year.     Check out our latest analysis for NetEase   It might be a surprise to learn that the consensus price target was broadly unchanged at HK$257, with the analysts clearly implying that the forecast decline in earnings is not expected to have much of an impact on valuation.        That's not the only conclusion we can draw from this data however, as some investors also like to consider the spread in estimates when evaluating analyst price targets.  Currently, the most bullish analyst values NetEase at HK$309 per share, while the most bearish prices it at HK$140.   Note the wide gap in analyst price targets? This implies to us that there is a fairly broad range of possible scenarios for the underlying business.      Another way we can view these estimates is in the context of the bigger picture, such as how the forecasts stack up against past performance, and whether forecasts are more or less bullish relative to other companies in the industry. The period to the end of 2026 brings more of the same, according to the analysts, with revenue forecast to display 7.3% growth on an annualised basis. That is in line with its 7.5% annual growth over the past five years.    Juxtapose this against our data, which suggests that other companies (with analyst coverage) in the industry are forecast to see their revenues grow 8.4% per year.  So although NetEase is expected to maintain its revenue growth rate, it's only growing at about the rate of the wider industry.     AdvertisementThe Bottom Line  The most important thing to take away is that the analysts downgraded their earnings per share estimates, showing that there has been a clear decline in sentiment following these results.        Happily, there were no real changes to revenue forecasts, with the business still expected to grow in line with the overall industry.       There was no real change to the consensus price target, suggesting that the intrinsic value of the business has not undergone any major changes with the latest estimates.   With that said, the long-term trajectory of the company's earnings is a lot more important than next year.
