Singapore's Non-Oil Domestic Exports Expand 9.3% in January

Singapore's non-oil domestic exports or NODX, grew 9.3% year over year in January, sharper than the 6.1% increase in the previous month, according to data released by Enterprise Singapore on Monday.

Electronic NODX expanded by 56.1%, backed by AI demand, the data showed. Non-electronics fell by 3.0% on year during the month.

Non-oil re-exports or the NORX surged by 51.4% year over year in January, following a 15% increase in the previous month.

Total merchandise trade increased by 23.8% year over year in January, following a 12.3% expansion in the previous month.

Total exports were up 30.4% in January, compared to an 10.6% rise in the previous month. Meanwhile, total imports rose by 16.6% after a 14.2% increase in the previous month.
