China Southern Airlines' Passenger Capacity Slides 1.1% in January

China Southern Airlines (SHA:600029, HKG:1055) passenger capacity fell 1.1% year over year to 33.8 billion available seat kilometers in January, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Passenger count slipped 5.8% to 14 million in the month.
Cargo capacity remained somewhat unchanged at 1.7 billion available ton-kilometers, the airline said in its filing.
Cargo and mail carried slid 1.3% to 160,020 tons.
