Enbridge Comments on Venezuela Viewed as Constructive Amid Uncertainty -- Market Talk

0909 ET - Investors are likely to focus on the longer-term implications of U.S. actions in Venezuela during Enbridge's coming post-results conference call, Jefferies' Sam Burwell says. Comments in the energy company's 4Q results statement were constructive, the analyst says. Enbridge says that despite the uncertainty created by the events in Venezuela, its shippers have made it clear they remain interested in advancing further expansions of Alberta crude capacity through the Mainline pipeline from Canada down to the Gulf Coast. "We hope for more color surrounding what Venezuela means for ENB's full path service, Mainline tolling re-negotiation, and its long-term crude egress outlook," says Burwell. (robb.stewart@wsj.com)
