对冲基金经理David Einhorn押注，在凯文·沃什领导下，美联储下调利率的幅度将“远超”市场目前的预测。

　　这位Greenlight Capital的联合创始人表示，他已经买入了有担保隔夜融资利率（SOFR）期货，押注如果美联储更激进地下调借贷成本，相关合约将上涨。

　　“我认为眼下最好的交易之一，就是押注今年的降息会超过预期，” Einhorn在周三接受CNBC采访时说。“我认为等到年底的时候，降息次数将会远不止两次。”

　　他发表上述言论之前，好于预期的就业报告促使交易员下调了对美联储今年降息的押注，降至大约两次、每次0.25个百分点的降息。

　　Einhorn表示，美国总统唐纳德·特朗普已挑选来接替现任美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔的沃什，很可能会满足总统的降息愿望。特朗普一直在敦促鲍威尔降息，这将有助于降低美国政府债务的利息成本。鲍威尔的主席任期将在5月份结束。

　　美联储主席只是12名对利率投票的决策者之一。但Einhorn表示，曾担任美联储理事的沃什可能会说服同僚接受他的观点：生产率上升将为更宽松的货币政策腾出空间，即使经济依然强劲。

　　“找他来不是为了把利率维持在一个稳定水平，”Einhorn说。“他会主张，即便经济在高位运行，我们也可以降息。”
