1327 ET - Amazon's $200 billion target for capital expenditures in 2026 will help meet surging demand for cloud computing related to artificial-intelligence, Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman says in a CNBC interview. "We see demand increasing across a broad set of our business," he says. "We have tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of customers that are driving this demand, and all of them are growing pretty rapidly as they're thinking about how they deliver more value to their business. And so we're incredibly bullish on AWS's growth over the next few years." The $200 billion headline number is certainly big, he says, but indicates the company's bullishness on its cloud business. Amazon is down 2.2%. (elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
