美国参议员伊丽莎白·沃伦要求美联储提名人选承诺保护独立研究。此前在纽约联储研究发现特朗普加税的大部分由美国企业承担后，国家经济委员会主任凯文·哈塞特表示报告作者应受到“处分”。

　　“任何美联储提名人都必须在国会宣誓承诺，不会压制美联储的独立研究，包括地区联储的研究，也不会因为专家只是履行本职工作而对其进行惩罚，”参议院银行委员会的首席民主党成员沃伦在声明中表示。

　　谈及哈塞特本周稍早的言论，沃伦表示：“对于一个试图接管美联储并安插特朗普傀儡、向美国人民谎报经济状况的绝望政府来说，这并不令人意外。”

　　尽管沃伦无法单独阻止美联储人选的任命，但委员会中的大多数共和党人多次表示，维护美联储在货币政策方面的独立性至关重要。特朗普提名的美联储主席人选凯文·沃什势必将在未来的听证会上就此问题面临质询。
