Australia's Wesfarmers posts 9.3% rise in half-year profit
Feb 19 (Reuters) - Wesfarmers WES.AX, Australia's biggest non-food retailer, reported a 9.3% rise in its first-half profit on Thursday, driven by strong performance at its Bunnings, Kmart Group and WesCEF divisions.
The apparel-to-lithium conglomerate's net profit after tax for the six months ended December 31 came in at A$1.60 billion ($1.13 billion), compared with A$1.47 billion last year and a Visible Alpha consensus estimate of A$1.56 billion.
