Yum! Brands' (YUM) KFC is among the restaurants that dropped their "Better Chicken Commitment" in the UK due to supply issues, the Financial Times reported Thursday.

According to the report, KFC had already abandoned the commitment in 2024 but officially announced the withdrawal on Thursday. The pledge involved sourcing slower-growing chicken instead of faster-growing breeds, the Financial Times said.

Other restaurants that backed out of the commitment include Nando's and Burger King, according to the report.

KFC did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
