Shares in Deere jumped in Thursday morning trade after the company said demand is improving for its small farm tractors and construction and forestry equipment.
-- The stock rose more than 7% to top $638.
-- Shares were on pace to finish at an all-time high if they hold on to gains through the session. As of yesterday's close, the stock was up 27% year to date.
-- The company boosted its outlook for the year, even though quarterly earnings were hit by higher tariffs and other costs.
