美国总统特朗普的一名高级经济顾问为白宫批评美联储关于关税的最新研究进行辩护，否认这对央行独立性构成攻击。
“对美联储研究人员的一项研究提出批评，并不等于攻击美联储的独立性，”白宫经济顾问委员会代理主席Pierre Yared周四表示。
“我认为，将针对具体研究的评论视为对美联储独立性的攻击，有些夸张，”他说。
白宫国家经济委员会主任凯文·哈塞特周三抨击了纽约联储的一项研究。该研究显示，美国企业承担了大部分关税负担。哈塞特表示，作者应受“处分”。
周四早些时候，明尼阿波利斯联储行长尼尔·卡什卡里回应称，哈塞特的言论是“试图损害美联储独立性的又一步”。
Yared表示，他对将于周五公布的第四季度经济增长数据“谨慎乐观”，并对2026年的前景表示乐观，认为投资激增将推动经济增长。
“我们可以有信心认为，目前的投资水平正在为显著的经济增长奠定基础，”他说。
