Economic Uncertainty Hurts Arcadis Order Book -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Feb 19

0945 GMT - Client demand for Dutch design and engineering group Arcadis fell because of economic uncertainty and tough competition, analysts at UBS write in a research note. The company reported 2025 revenue and earnings short of consensus expectations, with client orders falling 12% on year. The fall was concentrated in the group's built environment division after a disruption to its work in Canada with Oracle as well as companies delaying their capital expenditure decisions in Europe, the analysts note. "We think the outlook for this year will be seen as disappointing," they say. Shares in Arcadis tumble 14.3% following the earnings release. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
