Starbucks Shareholder Group Blocking Re-Election of 2 Directors Over Labor Issues

A group of Starbucks (SBUX) shareholders called on their fellow investors to vote against the re-election of Beth Ford and Jorgen Vig Knudstorp as company directors over "sustained oversight failures of labor relations," according to a Wednesday letter from the group.

The shareholder group includes the New York City Retirement Systems, SOC Investment Group, and Trillium ESG Global Equity Mutual Fund, among others.

Starbucks' annual shareholder meeting is set for March 25, according to the letter.
