Treasury Yields Little Changed as U.S. Reopens -- Market Talk

0904 ET - Treasury yields are little changed following Presidents' Day holiday in the U.S. In the New York Fed's Empire State manufacturing survey, business conditions edge lower to 7.1 in February from 7.7 in January, versus WSJ consensus of 10. December housing starts are due tomorrow. Thursday, jobless claims are expected to tick lower to 220,000 from 227,000. December 12-month PCE Friday is seen unchanged from November, at 2.8%. Markets price 90% odds of a Fed hold in March, according to CME. The 10-year yield is at 4.037%, down from 4.055% Friday. The two-year ticks higher to 3.416% from 3.409%.
