据悉，EIR Biopharma总部位于加州旧金山，是一家专注于眼科疾病治疗的早期生物医药开发商。该公司从学术机构引进临床前候选药物，并将其推进至临床开发阶段，目标针对已明确的未满足需求领域。其候选产品包括EIR-0205，这是一种正在开发用于治疗干性年龄相关性黄斑变性的小分子疗法，旨在从视网膜色素上皮细胞中提取脂褐素;以及EIR-1003，这是一种拟肽候选药物，旨在模拟肝配蛋白配体，促进视神经损伤后的视网膜神经再生。该公司正在为这两个项目进行新药临床试验申请前的研究，并计划从2027年开始启动人体临床研究。
