Uber Technologies (UBER) will invest over $100 million to develop autonomous vehicle charging hubs, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing the company.
The ride-hailing company's plan includes building DC fast charging stations at its autonomous depots and at pit stops throughout priority cities, the report said.
Additionally, Uber is also securing "utilization guarantee agreements" in select markets with operators including EVgo in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Boston, Electra in Paris and Madrid, and Hubber and Ionity in London, Reuters reported.
Uber, EVgo did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
